Orginally, this was supposed to be about how Goggles is bisexual, but, as i was re reading coroika, there was, dosen, multple, alot of signs that Rider, is a gay person. So, thats what this is gonna be about. How Rider is gay. Please dont take this seriously. This is just a theroy. This is also not discrimination, as first, i myself am queer, and second off, I believe no one should get harassed or hated over their gender, sexuality, or pronounce. Someone being queer does not define who they are, just apart of them that should be appreciated.

Splatoon is a queer game. Theres no denying of that. Characters like Acht, Pearl, and Marina, are very clearly queer characters. With Acht going by They/Them, and Pearl and Marina having a relationship thats lovey dovy. This means, the manga, itself is queer since the manga does cover the story campanions and dlc story campanios feauturing these characters. However; the manga has, quietly, shown queer characters like Metry and her team being transgender(which i will make my own little thing like this on). Rider; seems to be a queer character as well. This theroy will cover that he is gay. So lets get into it.

The Costume Party Festival chapter is the chapter with lots of evidance that Rider is gay.

This is for context. Rider by accident broke Aloha's keychain that was for a girl, and he has to pay it back or else he'll get sued or something. He gets nervous that Goggles and his team is in the party too, not expecting it. Why does he care? Yeah, they stupid, he'll get embarassed, but he never goes out of his way to just, escape them. Unless one of the members of the team is who hes inlove with. Its a stretch, but it makes sense. Rider, goes in costume cuz of this thought.

Also, small mention, but the helmet covers the bottom half of his face, so we have zero idea if Rider throughout the times of seeing Goggl-- i mean team blue (yeah) uh was blushing throughout the thing like battle. Oh yeah, they end up battleing. The battle is a goofy mess, as always, Goggles and his team ends up winning. Here; is where we get the most culturally significant panel of Rider we've ever seen. Him blushing. After getting hit by Goggles splashdown.

It suprises me that people think this isnt revloved around romatic feeling at least. I mean, its right on the screen, what is there to say? But lets just say that you dont think that. After all, witht he situation he's in, even if it doesnt quite make sense, he's embarassed! Nothing more, nothing less.

Team blue think he did it all cuz of the sweet melody of romance, RIder blushes at the idea. After hearing the news that no, he didnt and it was for Aloha, Goggles offers Rider his own keychain. Now, this can be so he can give it to Aloha and then the issue would be solved, but it can also tie to how Goggles; himself has feelings for Rider. Big stretch, but this will be its own seperate theroy for another day.

Now, i feel like i should've mention this eariler, but Rider usually never smirks unless he's involved around Goggles, or his goal is to verse Goggles. This is shown multiple times, but with all the context we know, you could've guess that possibly, Rider is gay for Goggles, and is madly inlove with him. Rider gets embarassed looking at Goggles teammates cuz of the situtation he's in, maybe showing him being flushered at the tought maybe they already knew about his queer identity. They prob arnet thinking that, but maybe Rider does think that.

Now i CAN just leave it off here, but i do have hornorable mentions. First of all, Rider does not HATE Team Blue. Though the fandom seems to know this, im scared that in the future, if this fandom gets way way big, people will think that; so i want to get this outta the way.

Rider, willingly trains Team Blue after the crushing effect of the defeat from Team Skull. Why would a hater do this? That doesnt make sense, it doesnt AT ALL. After the versing between Goggles and him, he's changed, and gave them a chance. This shows that Rider, infact, does not hate Team Blue, including Goggles. Rider because of Goggles, has changed as a person shown in the image below during the Emperor arc.

Rider, really wants to verse against Team Blue at every chance he gets. Most of the tournaments Goggles is in, Rider is in. Removing the Best of 8 arc out of the question, since, Rider wasnt in Splatsvile at the time, and plus, would not make sense story wise.

Rider confessing to Goggles about his feelings. Not the romantic ones but like, yk. Why am i bringing this all up? Well, love can effect a person serverly, even ones actions, and with Goggles; he's spread his love to Rider, and now the effects go on him.

So yeah, i'd pretty much say Rider is a queer coded character, am i woke for this? Maybe, but i dont think its a bad thing that a gay coded character exists. Not. at. all. Thats a good thing. I love it.
